John Hawksworth at PWC said Russian GDP may overtake Germany’s by 2020, driven by strength in natural resource sectors, but then face declining growth in a decade because of an aging population and shrinking workforce. Hawksworth said Russia’s economy is projected to fall back to sixth place in purchasing power parity terms by 2050, behind Japan, Brazil, India, the US and China.
